US crackdown on consulting giants puts billions in government contracts at risk

The news: President Donald Trump’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) is intensifying pressure on federal agencies to justify billions in business consulting contracts, targeting large firms like Deloitte, Accenture, and Booz Allen Hamilton, per Business Insider.

Other consultants on DOGE’s list include IBM, CGI Federal, Leidos, SAIC, General Dynamics, Guidehouse, and Hill Mission Technologies.

The General Services Administration (GSA), the government’s procurement arm, ordered agencies to justify contracts with 10 consultancies by March 7, targeting “fraud and waste.” It’s the latest example of how the Trump administration’s actions are poised to reshape market dynamics.
