Venmo doesn’t break the top 5 most downloaded P2P payment apps worldwide

PayPal is the most downloaded peer-to-peer (P2P) payment app worldwide, with 56.6 million downloads in H1 2021. Google Pay and Alipay, which is run by the financial affiliate of Chinese ecommerce giant Alibaba, ranked second and third, respectively. Venmo was No. 7, likely because the app is available only in the US.
