The news: Google quietly announced in August that it was doing away with Fitbit smartwatches, namely the Versa and the Sense. Now the Fitbit website is meeting its demise.
Fitbit.com will go offline October 1. For now, the website features a banner with a link to its new home on the Google Store.
Self-deprecating? Google has been eliminating Fitbit features since it acquired the brand in January 2021 for $2.1 billion.
