The news: Q4 earnings reports from Omnicom and Publicis Groupe, two of the “big four” ad agencies, revealed how the ad industry titans are faring ahead of Omnicom’s planned acquisition of Interpublic Group (IPG).
- Publicis reported revenues of €3.85 billion ($4.16 billion) for Q4 and €13.97 billion ($15.11 billion) for 2024, up 6.3% and 5.8% YoY, respectively. The company will also invest an additional €100 million into AI, expanding a €300 million investment announced last year.
- Omnicom reported revenues of $4.32 billion for Q4 and $15.69 billion for 2024, up 5.2% YoY on both counts. The company said regulatory processes for its IPG acquisition are underway, and it still expects to close in H2 2025.
