Perplexity pushes into browser market with AI-powered Comet

The news: Perplexity plans to launch its own web browser, Comet, this year, continuing a rapid-fire launch of new products from the AI search engine company.

Comet will be based on Chromium, an open-source software project owned by Google. Microsoft Edge, DuckDuckGo, and Opera are also based on Chromium.
