Peacock’s Q1 wins indicate positive road ahead

The news: Peacock reduced its losses to $215 million in Q1 from $639 million a year ago, per Comcast’s Q1 earnings report. Overall revenues rose 16% to $1.2 billion.

The NBCUniversal streaming platform ended March 2025 with 41 million paid subscribers, up from 36 million in year-end 2024. Comcast president Mike Cavanagh expects Peacock will continue “driving toward improved monetization, bigger scale and therefore declining losses over time” during a morning analyst call.
