Google leads the charge on identifying AI-generated images in search results

The news: Google is planning to enhance its search tools with an updated “about this image feature” in the coming months to identify if images were taken with a camera, edited, or generated by AI. 

This is part of Google’s work with the Coalition for Content Provenance and Authenticity (C2PA), a joint effort with major tech players including Microsoft, Amazon, Intel, Adobe, and OpenAI.
