Global fintech funding has nearly doubled so far this year

Fintech companies worldwide raised $94.7 billion in funding over the first three quarters of 2021, almost as much as the two prior years combined. That said, the total number of deals edged up by just 106 from 2020 to reach 3,549, meaning the average deal size has grown significantly this year.
