Gen Z less supportive of cellphone restrictions in schools, says Pew study

The news: A recent Pew Research Center survey has revealed significant insights into public opinion regarding cellphone use in schools:

  • 68% of US adults support banning cellphones during class time for middle and high school students, though only 36% favor extending this ban to the entire school day.
  • Surprisingly, there's little difference in opinions between parents of K-12 children and nonparents.
