Many consumers still prefer to order from restaurants the old-fashioned way—via in-person carryout—but restaurant apps and websites dominate the digital realm, according to a November 2023 TransUnion survey. Even with the rise of third-party delivery apps, consumers of all generations prefer ordering directly from a restaurant’s mobile app or website.
