Widespread usage of internet services and mobile tech like smartphones and tablets puts Canada near the top of our rankings by country. Here are five charts that highlight key stats on the usage of various forms of digital technology in Canada.

Canada nears ubiquitous internet usage

More than 9 in 10 people in Canada—including all age groups, even young children—use the internet. The majority use a smartphone for access (ownership is a criterion, leading to a lower smartphone penetration rate). About half also use tablets for digital connectivity.
