About This Report
Digital’s share of total media ad spending in Asia-Pacific will reach a milestone in 2025, surpassing $200 billion for the first time. The region’s digital ad spending will increase 8.6%, led by India, while China’s growth will slip noticeably amid the country’s economic struggles before a rebound the following year.

Digital advertising will dominate Asia-Pacific’s ad market in 2025, accounting for nearly 3 in 4 total media ad spending dollars, second only to North America. Growth will be fueled by emerging technologies like AI-driven targeting, retail media, and programmatic buying, with India outpacing the rest of the world in digital ad spending growth.

Digital will represent almost three-quarters of ad dollars in the region in 2025

Digital ad spending in Asia-Pacific is forecast to grow 8.6% in 2025, reaching $212.43 billion and accounting for 73.0% of total media ad expenditures—a measure by which it trails only North America. In comparison, Asia-Pacific’s total media ad spending will expand by 6.6% in 2025, reaching $290.84 billion.

India will lead Asia-Pacific in digital ad spending growth this year at 15.4% YoY, followed by Malaysia (10.2%) and Vietnam (9.7%). Regional digital ad spending growth will remain robust due to retail media, programmatic buying, and AI-driven ad targeting that reduce manual labor, adjust budget allocations on the fly, and improve segmentation. By 2029, digital will make up 77.8% of the total media ad outlay.
