Gen Alpha is still taking shape as the first generation to be born entirely in the 21st century. But technology is already a constant in their lives: In the US, 36.0 million children are active internet users, exceeding teen internet users by 11.4 million, per our forecast. Note: Gen Alpha does not yet have a defined cap in terms of birth year. For the purposes of this article, we define the future Gen Alpha as being born in the early 2010s.

  • Hispanic people represent 18.9% of the US population overall, but 26% of children.
  • Around 3% of the US population is mixed race, but this more than doubles to 7% among children.
