Consumers will turn to retail clinics less and less for their healthcare needs through 2026

The trend: US adults will visit a retail health clinic less and less each year through 2026, according to EMARKETER’s updated forecasts.

  • About 31% of US adults will go to a retail health clinic in person this year. That’s slightly down (-0.7%) from 2023, but significantly up from the pre-pandemic era.
  • In 2025, 29.5% of adults will be retail clinic patients, down 4.4% YoY.
  • That will drop to 27% in 2026, down 7.7% YoY.
