Consumers and doctors think pharma ads can benefit patients

The data: Consumers and doctors agree that pharma ads can influence patient behavior and improve their management of health conditions, according to a recent survey from Magna and DeepIntent.

  • The survey included 1,166 US adults who see a healthcare provider at least once a year and 1,001 US doctors ages 30 and up practicing across a range of specialties.

Patients’ opinions of pharma ads: Consumers believe that pharma messaging raises awareness of conditions and treatments while helping them manage their existing conditions.
