Capital One opens dining-focused airport lounge to beef up travel offerings

The news: Capital One opened a new culinary-focused airport lounge experience called Capital Landing in Reagan National Airport in Washington, D.C., per CNBC.

  • Capital One is working in partnership with celebrity chef José Andrés on the lounge experience.
  • Capital Landing will not have the same amenities as a typical airport lounge. Instead, it wants to be a restaurant-quality airport dining experience for travelers on shorter-haul domestic flights.

Capital One Venture X Rewards and Capital One Venture X Business cardholders will get complimentary access to the lounge. They can bring one guest for free and additional guests for $45. Other eligible Capital One cardholders can enter the lounge for $45, while travelers without a Capital One card will have to pay $90 per person.
