The news:Amazon Pharmacy will roll out same-day prescription medication delivery in 20 new US cities next year.
Earlier in 2024, Amazon announced same-day pharmacy delivery in a handful of cities, including New York City and Los Angeles. The service will soon expand to Boston, Dallas, Minneapolis, Philadelphia, San Diego, and several other metropolitan areas.
In most cases, Amazon Pharmacy customers who live in one of these areas will be able to order medications by 4 pm and receive them at home by 10 pm.
By the end of 2025, 45% of US consumers are expected to be eligible for free, same-day delivery of their prescription medications.
