The news: Amazon introduced Interests AI, its latest generative AI-powered shopping feature, which aims to deliver a more curated, relevant experience to shoppers.
How it works: Users create personalized shopping prompts tailored to their interests, budgets, and preferences—such as “brewing tools and gadgets for coffee lovers” or “graphic novels kids series in English.” From then on, the tool will constantly monitor Amazon’s site, and notify shoppers about relevant products, restocks, and deals that fit those interests.
The feature is currently available to a small group of US customers on Amazon’s app and mobile website; the retailer plans to roll it out to the rest of the country “in the coming months.”
