The news: Amazon added PayPal as a payment option for Buy with Prime, per a press release.
- When shopping at third-party merchants that offer Buy with Prime, consumers can now pay with PayPal after logging into their Amazon account.
- And next year, Amazon Prime members will be able to link their Prime and PayPal accounts to access Prime’s free shipping benefits when paying with PayPal at merchants that accept Buy with Prime.
A win for PayPal: Amazon offered Venmo as a payment option on its ecommerce site in October 2022 before cutting it in December 2023.
